Polly's Brew Co. is a small, independent craft brewery in Mold, North Wales looking to expand our Brewhouse team. We began life with a dream and a vision as a two-man operation brewing six times a month back in January 2018. Since then, we have continuously expanded our team, production output and even expanded premises across the yard here on Polly's old farm.

The role of Brewer is suitable for an individual who has a passion for beer and knows the importance of attention to detail, well-organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives in working in a team-based and hands-on role, and is able to contribute to standards and improvements in safety, quality, and process excellence. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also important, as you will be working closely with all our packaging and warehouse teams.
Training in all aspects of this role will be given and our supportive team will always be on hand, should you have any questions or need support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Production of wort on our 25hL brew kit and Pilot Kit for bespoke and experimental brews
* Cellaring tasks including vessel CIP, dry-hopping, centrifuging, transfers etc.
* Maintain exceptional standards of QC at all times ensuring product is within specification at all stages.
* Maintain a high standard of data logging and record keeping on Brewery software.
* Working to a brewery schedule to ensure that the beer can be released in line with the business needs.
* Ensure the cleanliness, efficiency and functionality of brewery equipment.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety.
* Work in a way which minimises wastage and excess cost without compromising on quality.
* Follow workplace health & safety rules at all times.
* You must be able to confidently (and repeatedly) lift items weighing up to 30kg, following standard operating procedures at all times.
* Abide by company SOP's
Desirable, but not essential:
* Valid Forklift truck licence.
* Comfortable driving transit van (dray vehicle).
* Mechanical / Engineering experience.
You'll have:
* Ample experience in another brewing business.
* Excellent work ethic and punctuality.
* A can-do attitude.
* High levels of hygiene; both personal and within your working environment.
* A passion for high quality craft beer.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Love working in a team, but you also love using your own initiative.
* Comfortable to safely lift and move objects up to 25kg.
* Strong time management skills.
* Literacy and numeracy skills.
* Enjoys an active and fast paced work environment.
* Willingness to assist with ad hoc production tasks as required.
* Basic computer literacy.

Shift Pattern: Normally Monday-Thursday 7AM- 5PM (4-day working week) Occasional Tuesday - Friday, weekend and evening shifts, to the needs of the business and production requirements.
