Senior Practice and Research Development Officer (Adults), CHM
Join our children’s charity of over 60 years for an exciting fixed‑term research and development role in adult social care. This 18‑month contract is part‑time (28 hours per week, 0.8 FTE) with hybrid working from Devon or Sheffield and home based within the UK for the right candidate.
Overview
The successful candidate will lead a small team of committed Research and Development Officers, designing and delivering high‑quality learning resources in various formats for senior leaders and partners across adult and children’s social care, health, criminal justice, and higher education.
Responsibilities
* Design, commission, write, edit, and quality‑assure learning programme materials and written resources.
* Present, chair, and facilitate a range of sector‑wide discussions, workshops, webinars and other learning events.
* Support the team to develop and strengthen their facilitation skills.
* Translate complex evidence into accessible learning for a diverse audience.
* Lead a small team of Research and Development Officers in delivering high‑quality learning resources.
Qualifications
* Substantial experience in adult social care or related sectors.
* Excellent facilitation skills and experience delivering workshops, webinars, and events for senior leaders.
* Strong understanding of research, policy, ethical and legal frameworks relevant to practice.
* Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
