PERSONAL ASSISTANT (PA) VACANCY
About the Role:
We are looking for a caring, reliable and proactive Personal Assistant to support a
child/young person within their home and to access social and community activities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's daily
life.
About the young person (No Names)
A smart, funny and loving boy, with visual impairment and ASD. He is talented in
music and Mathematics. He loves languages, quizzes, Geography and trains.
Anybody who has come across him loves him. He is mostly independent, just
requires minimal assistance in some activities and guidance on navigation.

- Support access to social, leisure and community activities
- Encourage independence, confidence and participation
- Assist with development of social and communication skills
- Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times
- Build a positive and trusting relationship
Person Specification
Essential:
- Kind, patient and trustworthy
- Reliable and committed
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
Desirable:
- Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs
- Understanding of autism or other relevant conditions
- Creative and able to suggest engaging activities
Requirements
- DBS check (will be arranged if successful)
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Working arrangements
Location: Herne Bay
Number of roles available: 1
Hourly rate: £12.71
Hours (Term-time): 3 hours
Hours (School holidays): 6 hours
