This full-time contract position is available for an immediate start and is perfect for someone passionate about preparing students with additional needs for real-world success through practical learning and positive behaviour support. This role blends vocational instruction with behaviour leadership, supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. You’ll deliver engaging, work-related learning experiences while leading on behaviour strategies that foster emotional regulation, confidence, and growth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver vocational education lessons tailored to students’ needs and interests. Support behaviour management across the school, modelling and embedding positive behaviour strategies. Engage students in hands-on learning that builds confidence, teamwork, and employability skills. Foster a calm, structured classroom environment built on mutual respect. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support student outcomes. Track student progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and development plans. Lead behaviour interventions and support colleagues in implementing strategies. Qualifications and Experience: Experience delivering vocational training or working in a relevant trade/industry (desirable). Prior experience working with young people with SEND or SEMH needs is desirable but not essential. A practical, creative approach to teaching and student engagement. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to lead by example. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
