We are working closely with a Thirsk based business who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their busy team. This role is a pinnacle point to ensuring the smooth running of the Finance department, reporting into the Financial Controller.
You must have your own transport as the location has no public transport routes nearby.
Responsibilities:
1. Bank and ledgers Reconciliations
2. Weekly cash forecasts
3. Accruals, prepayments and monthly recharges
4. Preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasting to year end
5. Balance Sheet reconciliation and reviews
6. Cost analysis for department managers
7. Preparation of VAT returns
8. Maintain stock records (livestock and feed)
9. Prepare and maintain Fixed Asset Registers
10. Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasting
11. Preparation of year-end accounts
12. Ad hoc responsibilities – such as some sales and purchase ledger duties
Requirements/Experience:
13. AAT or part Qualified although QBE will also be accepted
14. Experience of production of management accounts (essential)
15. Advance MS Excel skills (essential)
16. Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts and payroll
17. VAT experience
18. Proactive and organised with an ability to prioritise workload (essential)
19. Strong attention to detail
