Design and Technology Technician

Salary: G02 (5-8 Scale)
FTQ - £25,583-£26,824
Actual salary - £22,005
Hours: 37 hours per week, including 5 training days.
Daily Hours: 9am until 4pm – ability to be flexible is desirable

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design and Technology Technician to work within a successful and supportive department. The successful candidate will be expected to work across the whole of the Design and Technology department including Food, Design and Engineering, supporting and working directly with Teachers.
It is desirable for the candidate to have or willing to work towards:
•A working knowledge of design and technology and an awareness of all relevant legislation e.g. Health and Safety Codes of Practice, COSHH, PUWER, Food Hygiene.
•Use of relevant equipment / resources
•Knowledge of particular subject / technical area
•Knowledge of relevant policies / codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
•Ability to identify own training and development needs and co-operate with means to address these
