Our client offers a structured grading system with clear career development, and starting salaries range from £30,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, with additional productivity bonuses that can significantly boost your earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out detailed mechanical assessments on a wide range of vehicles
* Detect and report visual defects and unusual driving behaviours
* Perform high-quality repairs to ensure vehicles are ready for retail
* Install accessories and components as directed by the sales team
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used, in line with warranty requirements
* Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend effective repair solutions
* Maintain workshop equipment by adhering to maintenance schedules and promptly reporting any issues
* Keep the workshop clean and organised to ensure a safe working environment
* Deliver work to the highest standards to ensure customer satisfaction and minimise repeat repairs
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
* Ideally, hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in motor vehicle repair (or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* A solid understanding of manufacturer standards for servicing and repairs
* A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
* You must have the right to work in the UK
