* Provide effective management and leadership for the Finance Team.
* Manage the functions of the Finance Team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, online payments, general ledger, cash holdings, and control accounts.
* Maintain relationships with external stakeholders
* Take responsibility for the administration of the finance system.
* Implement improvements of the finance system.
* Support budget holders in budgetary control and provide user-friendly and timely financial reports for budget holders and management.
* Advise senior leaders on key financial matters.
* Develop and oversee financial policies and procedures.
* Ensure robust and effective financial controls.
* Ensure income is maximised for the benefit of the students.
* Lead the budget-setting and financial forecasting processes.
* Monitor spend against budget in order to inform strategic decisions.
* Provide financial management to different schools.
* Undertake financial analysis of Schools activities.
* Supporting year-end accounting and audit processes.
* Take responsibility for the timely and efficient preparation and submission of financial returns to the regulatory bodies.
* Ensure timely implementation of recommendations from Audit and Assurance Reports.
* Ensure any tax obligations are discharged correctly and effectively.
* Undertake such duties that maybe assigned commensurate with the grade and overall responsibility level of the post and as changing circumstances may require.
