The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join our Digital Transformation Application Team at Kirklands House - NHSL Headquarters.The post holder will provide application support for key digital based systems within NHS Lanarkshire; predominantly the TrakCare and Patientrack systems.
The post holder will also be required to actively engage with departments who wish to move away from paper-based ways of working. This could involve process mapping and advising on best practice processes in a digital context. The work of the post holder will be directed by the direct line manager of the team and they will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of digital systems, to troubleshoot technical problems and for the development of new functionality within the patient management system, TrakCare. The successful candidate will provide advice and support to the users who use a service supported by Digital.
The post holder will provide a point of contact for digital for service related matters.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the TrakCare Application Team at Kirklands House.
The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.
We currently work to a hybrid model whereby the team are on site 2 days per week.

What we'll need you to bring
1. • Qualified in an IT related subject
• Proven track record in the support of digital systems to end users
• Knowledge of applications used within Healthcare
• Knowledge or project management methods and principles
• Ability to work as a team player as well as on own initiative to achieve targets set by line manager
• Ability to work under pressure and fixed time scales
• Excellent communication an inter-personal skills
• Requirement to ensure helpdesk calls are resolved within fixed service level agreements
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
2. Qualified in an IT related subject
3. Proven track record in the support of TCP/IP networks and MS Windows server operating systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
4. Detailed knowledge in the management and support techniques required to maintain Microsoft products that include operating systems and SQL Server as well as the MS Office suite of applications
5. Ability to work as a team player as well as on own initiative to achieve targets set by the IT Helpdesk or IT Management
6. Knowledge of applications used within Healthcare
