Retail Flooring Sales SpecialistAbout the Role
We are working with an established and growing interiors and design group is looking to expand its retail team with the addition of an experienced Retail Flooring Sales Specialist.
The business works across multiple sectors including new-build housing, care, education, hospitality, residential, and construction, delivering tailored interior and exterior design solutions. With a strong reputation and long-standing client relationships, the company provides a wide range of services including flooring, interior design, bespoke furniture, lighting, window dressings, and specialist cleaning services.
Due to continued growth in the retail flooring division, this role will focus on driving sales, managing client enquiries, and delivering exceptional customer experiences from initial enquiry through to installation.
You will work from a modern retail showroom environment, alongside an interior design team, where clients can explore flooring options as well as fabrics, lighting, paint, wallpaper, furniture, and other design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality retail sales experience and managing flooring projects from enquiry to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Welcoming and assisting customers within the retail showroom
* Managing enquiries from website, social media, and internal referrals
* Visiting clients and conducting site measures where required
* Supporting customers with product selection across carpets, hard flooring, LVT and designer flooring solutions
* Pricing projects and preparing quotations
* Estimating project costs and coordinating installations
* Liaising with installation teams to ensure smooth delivery
* Managing deposits and final customer payments
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Supporting marketing activity including social media and in-store materials
* Researching and introducing new product ranges and suppliers
About You
We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in retail flooring sales and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have proven experience in retail flooring sales
* Possess strong product knowledge across carpets, LVT, and hard flooring
* Be confident working with clients across a range of sectors and budgets
* Be self-motivated, proactive, and commercially driven
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail
* Be creative and able to translate client needs into practical solutions
* Have a good awareness of current market trends and customer preferences
* Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
