Signet Jewelers are the owner of the UK Jewellery brands, H. Samuel and Ernest Jones. We have an exciting opportunity available for an interim Project Manager to join our Store Development Team. As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the coordination of all project-based activity, managing all areas of our H. Samuel and Ernest Jones Stores, and both Store Support Centre locations.
Reporting into the Head of Store Development, you'll partner with key stakeholders, including, display, marketing, technology, the programme management team and supply chain to deliver all physical store and investment activity. Our new initiatives are required to ensure our stores remain at the forefront of jewellery retail design; this can range from a new piece of furniture to a full store fit out. Working with prestigious Watch brands, you’ll design and implement all aspects of their in-store concepts.
This is a field-based role, you must be flexible to cover our Retail Stores across the UK and Store Support Centre locations in Birmingham and Croxley Park, Watford.
About the role
* Deliver, control and complete designated Store and SSC project workload to budget, programme and approved specification and standards.
* Programme and prioritise all fit out activity and resource. Conduct Scope, Pre-Start, Progress, Handover and completion meetings.
* Assist the Property Team through assessing risks associated with Store acquisitions & recommending solutions for their resolution.
* Manage the external contractor and supplier network procurement and pricing.
* Manage the external drafting companies who produce surveys, detailed working drawings and as-built drawings. Manage the as-built photo library to ensure they are of the required quality.
* Manage the approved inspector supply chain to ensure best value and service achieved
About you
* Experience of fast-moving multi-site retail fit out, Project and Programme management experience ideally within multi-site retail
* Proven ability / successful track record of supply chain management
* Demonstrably thorough understanding of all relevant legislation and CDM 2015
* Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, namely MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
* Experience of Local Authority Planning Department applications.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Building Control requirements including good understanding of “Part-M” of the Building Regs.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills and proven ability to manage projects effectively.
