About the Role
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, skilled and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work at Eldon Grove Academy and/or Roseberry Primary School as part of Extol Academy Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting children to achieve their very best. The successful candidates will work closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences, targeted interventions and support for pupils across the school.
The role is varied and rewarding and may include leading learning for individuals, groups and whole classes where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will:
• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning support across the curriculum
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes
• Support pupils with varying needs to overcome barriers to learning
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing accurate feedback
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and pupil engagement
• Deliver intervention programmes that accelerate pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external agencies where required
• Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should have:
• HLTA status or Qualified Teacher Status
• Significant experience working with children in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
• High expectations of behaviour, achievement and inclusion
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience within attendance, pastoral or inclusion work is desirable; however, we will consider candidates with strong transferable skills and the right professional mindset.
