The company is a global engineering service provider specialising in designing, manufacturing, developing, and delivering automated and intelligent software solutions.
As the Automation Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting automated systems, including conveyors, robotic cells, and crane systems. The role involves mechanical and electrical fault-finding, system integration, and ensuring installations meet safety and performance standards.
What we would like from the Automation Installation Engineer:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in automation installation (conveyors, robotics, cranes)
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Experience with PLCs (e.g. Siemens and Allen Bradley)
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and permit to work systems
Experience with robotic programming and integration (desirable)
Knowledge of crane systems and lifting equipment regulations
Certification in electrical safety (e.g. 18th Edition)
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
Valid CSCS card or equivalent
What we offer the Automation Installation Engineer:
Salary between £50,000 to £60,000 doe
25 days annual leave
Company pension
39 hours week (8.30am till 5pm Mon to Thurs and 8.30am till 4pm Friday)
Company Van
Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x on Sunday
