Permit Manager - Leading Maintenance Provider - Blue chip contract - Kings Cross - Up to 65k

One of the UK's leading maintenance providers is currently recruiting a Permit Manager for a prestigious contract at Kings Cross.
The Permit Manager will report to the onsite Contract Manager and will be responsible for reviewing and assessing permit requests, managing permits to work, and reviewing assessments and scopes of work for third-party contractors prior to permit approval.
The key responsibilities include:
1. Review and evaluate work requests, ensuring RAMS are relevant, and high-risk work complies with safety standards and permits.
2. Identify and apply plant and equipment isolations, producing isolation certificates.
3. Create permits to work for various activities such as mechanical, electrical, working at height, and confined space.
4. Ensure safety standards are met, including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, and manual handling assessments.
5. Issue work permits to staff and subcontractors, and manage permit surrender/cancellation.
6. Manage permits in the work area, ensuring simultaneous operations are identified.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Fully qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering (BTEC, HND, HNC, ONC, Degree).
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office and proprietary systems.
3. Hold NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Diploma in H&S.
4. Experience in operational management roles such as Engineering Manager, Technical Services Manager, or Compliance Manager.
5. Member of IOSH.
6. Professional, honest, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
7. Decision-maker with a proactive attitude.
8. Committed to following policies and procedures.
