At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care Lecturer based at their Harrow Campus.
The college’s Health and Social Care Section is a successful, dynamic and vibrant area of the College, delivering a range of courses to learners, primarily aged 16-19 to prepare them for careers in the health/social care sector.
They are seeking to appoint a qualified Nurse to fill this full time Lecturer post to teach across the Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health and BTEC Health and Social Care Levels 1, 2 and 3.
You will need to possess:
1. A degree in Nursing and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with current/recent clinical experience gained within the health/social care sector
2. You will also need to have some experience of teaching or training.
3. If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the college will support you to obtain this.
Qualifications
4. A degree in Nursing
5. Registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
6. A minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g DET, PGCE) ** or willingness and ability to work towards qualification, supported by the College
Knowledge and Experience
7. Teaching or training experience
8. Experience of delivering Health and Social Care programmes including Health Sciences, BTEC including external exam units
9. Current or recent clinical experience gained within the Health/Social Care sector
10. Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area, with good knowledge of Biology
11. Knowledge of and ability to teach Health and Science

12. The ability to engage and enthuse vocational learners aged 16-19
13. Good written and verbal communication skills
14. Good interpersonal skills
15. Good classroom practice
16. Good IT skills
17. Ability to use IT/e-learning within the curriculum and deliver online teaching, learning and assessment successfully

22. Understanding of the importance of Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding in education
