Company Introduction:
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our leading consultancy partners. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Agile Scrum Master to join their technical delivery team on a long-term engagement based in Knutsford.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
You will support the successful delivery of agile projects by facilitating scrum ceremonies, driving team performance, and ensuring alignment with agile principles and technical best practices.
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Provide clear, structured status updates to stakeholders and project sponsors.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Project Managers to track progress against milestones and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
Contribute to the technical direction and delivery of the team, balancing cost, quality, time, and risk.
Maintain and prioritise the change backlog in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Promote continuous improvement, team empowerment, and increased transparency within agile teams.
Required Skills/Experience:
Certified Agile Coach or Scrum Master with strong agile delivery experience.
Proven experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong understanding of the full software development life-cycle (SDLC).
Hands-on experience with technical delivery or development in distributed and integrated architectures.
Excellent facilitation, servant leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
Must be based in or around Knutsford - only local candidates will be considered.
Experience in Financial Services sector.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Experience across full end-to-end software delivery life-cycle.
Exposure to modern agile delivery tools, techniques, and practices.
Understanding of enterprise-grade technologies and languages such as: Databases (Oracle / DB2 / SQL / IMS DEDB), Web services (SOAP & REST / WSDL / RAML)
