The Capacity & Flow Team provides highly skilled support in directing patient flow across the acute division 24/7. Clinical site coordination supports patient flow to ensure timely bed availability, admission, discharge, transfer, and appropriate placement of patients across Medical and Surgical Directorates, within the delivery of the 4-hour Emergency Access target.
Due to team expansion to enhance 24/7 on-site coverage, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Co-ordinator to contribute significantly to hospital site management. This role is crucial in managing acute beds, working closely with primary care colleagues to promote patient flow to downstream hospitals and managing transfers to and from tertiary centres. The post involves providing visibility and leadership, acting as a professional role model to uphold standards in the Acute Services Division, NHS Fife.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced NMC-registered first-level nurse with evidence of professional development, leadership experience, and a focus on high standards of patient-centered care.
This role requires excellent decision-making skills, the ability to work autonomously, and strong communication and organizational skills to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
