In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the day-to-day requirements through the production system, with a specific emphasis on reducing NVA from inputs into assembly areas.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing production orders, travellers, and coordinating deliveries into the production process.
2. Maximising efficiency and reducing waste to achieve OTD targets.
3. Encouraging and participating in continuous improvement activities within the production system.
4. Ensuring production requirements are integrated into the daily schedule and communicating work coordination to colleagues.
5. Taking responsibility for component quality and conformity.
6. Implementing best practices and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
7. Minimising shop-floor material inventory.
8. Contributing to and securing all inputs to meet cell performance outputs, measured against KPIs and NVA measures.
9. Ensuring a consistent approach to standardized work and sharing learning experiences.
10. Maintaining a safe environment in accordance with the company's health & safety policy.
11. Undertaking other duties as reasonably requested by management.
12. Processing NCRs and MRB stock cages.

Candidate skills include:
* Good working knowledge of Baan.
* GCSE / NVQ Level 2 qualification.
* Understanding of SSGB product and quality concerns, and good understanding of MRP principles.
