Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that electrical systems function in compliance with design specifications, are installed in compliance with industry standards and are safe to operate.
* Report to Site Manager or Project Manager in relation to delivery of project scope in line with programme and budget.
* Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times.
* Plan and perform all tests required to verify correct functioning of electrical systems and equipment installed within the project.
* Perform electrical tests on AC control and protection systems, Auxiliary Power Supply systems and HV Primary Equipment.
* Document all performed tests in compliance with required quality standards and specific project requirements.
* All activities at site performed safely.
* All electrical systems installed in the project are proven to be working in line with technical specification.
* Ensure own work is executed on Time to the required Quality & within allocated Budget. Plan work forward to ensure availability of required engineering information, plant, materials tools and test equipment, to successfully deliver tasks.
* Planning and performing of integration and functional testing of AC Protection and Control Systems (hardware and software) on the construction sites as well as planning, execution and evaluation of Factory Acceptance Tests at sub-supplier’s factory and our test facility in Germany or the UK.
* Planning and performing of integration and functional testing of Auxiliary Systems (MVAC, Aux Tx,, LVAC, LVDC, Batteries, UPS) on the construction sites as well as witnessing and evaluation of Factory Acceptance Tests at sub-supplier’s factory.
* Planning and performing of integration and functional testing of HV Primary Plant on the construction sites as well as witnessing and evaluation of Factory Acceptance Tests at sub-supplier’s factory.
* Preparation of test records in line with project requirements, in line with SE procedures, as well as obtaining client acceptance for tests (sign of).
* Technically flawless commissioning of assigned systems (software and hardware) on site in due time and within given budget (manhours allowed for each task).
* Support of the Project Management in quality, risk, safety, cost and claim management.
Experience & Qualifications
* Apprentice trained, minimum NVQ Level 3 and HNC in electrical field (or equivalent).
* Academic degree in electrical field (or equivalent) plus 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Qualifications Essential
* CSCS Card / CCNSG Safety Passport.
* Electrical Qualifications.
* Manual Handling.
* Working at Height.
* Fire safety awareness.
* IPAF.
* First Aid.
* Fully familiar with IT tools.

* NG Competent Person NSI6.
