Head of Sales
Location: UK (Office-based)
Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + car allowance + bonus
Contract: Permanent | Start: April 2026
Our client, a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business supplying the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead their commercial function during a period of significant growth and operational transformation.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the sales team, overseeing business development, production administration, and marketing, and ensuring a smooth end‑to‑end sales process from RFQ to shop floor delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the sales, business development, marketing, and administration teams.
* Oversee quoting, contract review, RFQs, sales order release and works order creation.
* Drive growth in aerospace and defence and expand existing customer accounts across the UK, Europe, and North America.
* Shape and deliver the company’s marketing strategy.
* Support and optimise ERP process improvements.
* Build and maintain strong OEM and Tier 1 customer relationships.
About you
* Experienced sales leader with hands‑on ability to win work.
* Background in subcontract manufacturing and precision engineering.
* Strong track record in aerospace and defence (oil & gas/energy beneficial).
* Understanding of full order‑to‑delivery processes.
* Marketing strategy experience.
* Experience with ERP systems.
