Prepworld are loking for a Packaging Operative, in our packaging warehouse on Night shift.
Duties
* Moving of pallets/stock around the warehouse in a safe and controlled manner.
* Unload delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes.
* To drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring all start up documents are filled in correctly.
* Pick and supply packaging in advance according to the daily packaging plans and supply to the airlock room in preparation for production following the traceability and barrier control procedures.
* Top up print room with labels daily following the Kan Ban system in place.
* Work the airlock room and issue packaging to the production high care when requested following the issuing/receiving procedure.
* Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and organised always.
* Provide accurate packaging stock counts of all packaging SKU’s.
* Notify of any delivery discrepancies to the area Supervisor/Team Leader
* Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the area Supervisor/Team leader.
* Organise stock in the stores in a clear and logical way and ensure all internal codes have been applied correctly with the correct information.
* All intake procedures including stock Putaway.
* Check and accurately update stock inventory lists.
* Understand how to read the packaging plans/Bill of material to identify correct stocks needed for production.
* Follow instructions, undertaking any requests by all Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Line Managers.
* Understand the differences between Current, new, and redundant stocks and why segregation of these is important.
* Develop knowledge of all packaging SKU’s
* Always work with H&S at the forefront of your mind.
* Ability to learn new IT and work systems.
* Ability to track deliveries against delivery schedules to include confirming deliveries that have come in and highlighting deliveries that haven't.
* Understanding of redundant packaging stocks.
* Understand technical requirements
Who we are looking for
* Prior knowledge of warehouse/stock work is advantageous.
* Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and attendance record.
* Valid/date FLT certification (advantageous but training can be provided)
* Good level of English communication skills (Speaking and Writing and Listening).
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Show ability to work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
* First aid & Fire marshal trained (advantageous) – but training can be given.
* Possess a solution-based mindset.
* Show good teamwork skills and be able to work/liaise together to ensure team goals/objectives are successfully achieved.
* Good emotional control (EI).
* Resilient with a strong work ethic.
* Flexible approach and be willing to adapt ways of working to support team requirements.
* Ability to work well under pressure and proactively seek win/win solutions.
* Flexibility to work OT is preferred.

* “Peak” 24 weeks (May – October)
* “Off Peak” 28 weeks (October – May)

Pay
Starting at £13.66per hour, rising through to £14.25 and then £14.62 after full training and development
