Job Description:
The Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology at the University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Human Physiology.
You will have previous teaching or training experience that enables you to contribute to teaching, assessment, quality enhancement, and pedagogic research within the Department. We welcome applications from Human Physiologists with active research or clinical backgrounds.
You will be expected to teach across a range of disciplines, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, delivering key aspects of human physiology through lectures, seminars, and practical classes. Good communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
Qualifications required include a first degree in Human Physiology or a related discipline, and either a Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience. Candidates with significant professional practice experience are also encouraged to apply. Membership in a relevant professional body is preferred, and willingness to contribute to research across university research institutes and centers is expected.
The department has a successful portfolio of accredited courses that impact local health outcomes and promote access to education. Candidates should be enthusiastic about removing barriers and widening participation in education.
