Student Administrator – Year 5 Medical Student Administration
We are seeking an organised and proactive Student Administrator to support the delivery of Year 5 medical student administration within the Child and Maternal Health theme in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Responsibilities
* Support smooth running of student‑related processes and help ensure a high‑quality experience for medical students throughout their training.
* Provide administrative support across a range of activities including student communications, timetable management, room bookings, attendance monitoring, course materials, and use of the virtual learning environment (VLE).
* Liaise with colleagues across the School of Clinical Medicine, NHS partners, and other University departments; respond to student queries and support coordination of training delivery across multiple sites.
* Contribute to student induction activities, assist with course improvements, and help develop efficient and consistent administrative systems and processes.
* Maintain office systems and follow administrative procedures.
Qualifications
* Minimum of A‑level standard or equivalent.
* Experience maintaining office systems and following administrative procedures.
* Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage a busy and varied workload with minimal supervision.
* Confidence using standard IT packages such as Word and Excel; able to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people.
* Flexible, customer‑focused approach; strong problem‑solving, prioritisation, and composure under pressure.
* Motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a supportive team in a busy academic environment.
