Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a 24-month Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Earth/Atmospheric Sciences to work on the UK Research and Innovation funded REMAID project, based in the School of Geography and Natural Sciences at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK. REMAID aims to develop transferable methodologies for integrating Indigenous meteorological knowledge from an oral tradition into climate impact modelling in western Sahara. In collaboration with local and international team partners, the post holder will lead the installation of a new climate monitoring network and weather hazard early warning system in the western Sahara region, and work with climate modellers to improve projections of future climate impacts.
