NG Bailey have a fantastic opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to join our team in Manchester, working from our office based in Exchange Quay, Salford.
In this position you will produce and maintain coordinated building information models and drawings to assist the overall design, construction and manufacturing process on our projects within the region.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
* Conduct regular coordination review meetings, using 3D model as a discussion tool and highlighting variations, to ensure timely communication between the department and the wider construction team.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all MEP systems relevant to the installation commissioning and maintenance of services, to ensure optimised coordinated solutions and enable CDM compliance.
* Visit site to gain practical experience of installation practices and apply these to improve modelling and coordination effectiveness.
* Develop skills within the team in relation to software, MEP systems and coordination of work, offering guidance and feedback to maximise the performance of the team.
* Work from engineers/designers’ calculations, rough sketches or drawings to produce coordinated, accurate and structured models, incorporating NG Bailey Offsite solutions wherever possible.
* Produce drawings from 3D models for design stage, installation and/or manufacture.
What we’re looking for :
* Significant experience of CAD/BIM and 3D coordination of MEP Services
* Can demonstrate good knowledge of using Revit / Micro-station and Navisworks
* Proficient in AutoCAD
