In this role, you'll be teaching and mentoring students in boat building and marine engineering. You'll cover everything from traditional wooden boat construction to modern materials and techniques, helping learners develop the skills needed for industry. You'll be working in a well-equipped environment delivering both practical and theoretical sessions, supporting learners through their development and progression.
The ideal candidate will be someone from a boat building or marine engineering background, with strong hands-on experience in constructing, repairing, or maintaining boats, who is now looking to move into education. Full training and qualifications will be provided, so no previous teaching experience is required.

The Role:
* Deliver practical and classroom-based training in boat building and marine engineering
* Teach a range of skills including construction, repair, and maintenance of vessels
* Support students with coursework, assessments, and progression
* Act as a mentor and provide pastoral support where needed
* Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
* Support work placements and industry links
The Person:
* Background in boat building, marine engineering, or similar hands-on trade
* Experience working with materials such as wood, composites, or metals
* Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to gain - fully supported)
* Good practical skills, attention to detail, and communication
* Looking to move into a more stable, long-term, and rewarding role
