Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Counter-balance Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to handle various materials.
Duties
* Load and unload materials, utilising appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including shipping and receiving documentation.
* Perform routine inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse.
* Assist with warehouse management tasks, including inventory control and organisation of stock.
Skills
* Proficient in using a Warehouse Management System for tracking inventory and shipments.
* Experience with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
* Strong materials handling skills, including knowledge of safe lifting techniques for heavy items.
* Valid Forklift licence is preferred, with experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding operational workflows.
* Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or equipment as they arise.
