As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our dynamic team. Please note this role will be mainly based at a new office opening in the Northamptonshire area in the near future.
Role Overview:
As a Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health and safety policies and procedures across our sites. Your goal will be to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Writing RAMS for Wordsworth Excavations earthworks and associated operations on site
* Reviewing RAMS for Wordsworth Excavations Supply Chain for working on site
* Reviewing work procedures to ensure compliance to industry standard
* Writing Toolbox Talk & Safety Information for communications to workforce covering both health and safety, and environmental protection
* Writing and undertaking staff inductions
* Undertaking HSE audits and inspections across operational sites covering Wordsworth Excavations operations and Supply Chain operations
* Enforcement of health and safety and environment legislation and protocol
* Undertake accident and incident investigations, and other breaches in safety.
* Compile logs and reports, initiate corrective and preventative actions
* Track incident metrics and applying findings
Requirements:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safety Certificate / Diploma
* CSCS White/Black Manager Card
* SMSTS Certified
* SEATS Certified
* NEBOSH Environmental Management Certified (or willing to work toward)
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar H&S role within the construction industry.
* Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lead and influence teams at all levels.
