I am seeking an experienced GIS / spatial data developer to build an interactive web-based map that identifies and visualises all "Multi-Lot Single Address" properties in Victoria, Australia.
The solution will require working with VicMap datasets (Property_PFI, Parcel_PFI, and related layers) to programmatically identify parcels where:
- Multiple parcels (or lots) exist,
- But are held registered against a single 'address'
The end result should be a clean, usable interactive map. Ideally, the map can be interactive where I can:
- Visually see all conforming properties on the map
- Colour code them by 'Number of Lots / Number of Parcels' (e.g. Yellow = 2, Blue = 3, Green = 4+)
- Click on a given property and: (a) take notes; (b) see my previous notes
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
Build a system that:
- Extracts and processes relevant VicMap data
- Identifies ALL Multi-Lot Single Address properties across Victoria
- Displays results in an interactive, filterable web map with the ability to set custom fields/record and view notes
1. Data Source
VicMap datasets (via API or licensed access)
Relevant layers likely include:
Property_PFI
Parcel_PFI
Title / lot-on-plan references
You must be familiar with Victorian cadastral data structures
2. Identification Logic (Core Requirement)
We need to define and implement logic that programmatically detects:
- Multiple lots associated with a single title
OR
- multiple Parcel_PFIs linked to one Property_PFI
Or
- equivalent method depending on dataset structure
Ideally the mapping system can be filtered (e.g. by suburb, number of 'parcels per address') and searchable.
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: GIS, ArcGIS, Web Design
