* Annual Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 (TLR2C for the right candidate)

Join thisoutstanding and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed secondary school, where teaching and learning thrive within a vibrant and caring community. We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf to join our Sensory Support Centre, starting January 2026 or earlier if possible.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver high-quality education tailored to students who are deaf or have a hearing loss, ensuring they achieve their maximum potential.
* Utilise specialised strategies and technologies, such as a wireless FM system, to enhance auditory access and support effective learning in the classroom.
* Collaborate with a team of Communication Support Assistants and other staff to promote social inclusion and independent learning among students.
* Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school's ethos of excellence.
* Foster a positive, motivational, and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching deaf or hearing-impaired students. (Mandatory)
* Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) at Level 2, 3, or 6 is highly desirable.
* Strong commitment to student development and a proven track record of enhancing student achievement.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to the school's community.
* Passion for professional growth and a dedication to maintaining high educational standards.
