Offer description

Are you a dedicated and dynamic nurse or odp looking for an exciting new opportunity? The National Treatment Centre Fife, a cutting-edge, purpose-built facility in Kirkcaldy, is expanding its team and invites passionate professionals to join us in delivering exceptional patient care.

This is your chance to be part of a pioneering service in a facility designed for innovation and high-quality orthopaedic procedures, including hip and knee replacements.

We pride ourselves on our forward-thinking environment, designed to help cut the backlog of planned care and provide faster access to life-changing surgery for patients across Scotland. You should possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team and have evidence of continuing professional development.

Hours will be worked over 4 days, Monday to Saturday, with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife.

There is a robust induction program which is supported by a full time Clinical Educator and part time Education Coordinator. We are passionate about investing and developing all our team members. We currently fund and support the Advanced Scrub Practitioner program levels 1 & 2 and the NES Anaesthetic Competency program.

Theatres can be an intense fast paced environment with a team working ethos being at the heart of the services we provide. If you enjoy a challenge and would like to join this busy friendly unit, then this may be the post for you.

Informal enquiries: SCN Catherine Scott 01592 643355 ext 28428,CN Amanda Robertson, Ashley Coles or Susan Hutchison ext 28293

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.

NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom. If you are not a United Kingdom (UK) or Irish National, you are required to confirm your right to work in your application.

We offer flexible working and family-friendly policies and fully support disabled candidates, and candidates with long-term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visa as well as EU settled and pre-settled status. To find out more about these routes of permission, please refer to the GOV.UK website here .

For specific types of post, if you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible (though not guaranteed) to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa. However, this is only possible if the employer is a licenced Sponsor, and if the post does not fall below the current minimum salary threshold or ‘going rate’. Further information on these criteria can be found here .
It is ESSENTIAL that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored BEFORE submitting your application form.

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
