Trainee Teaching Assistant

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistants to join the dynamic teams at our reputable client secondary schools in South Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to support students’ learning and development while gaining valuable experience in the education sector. We would encourage graduates or future aspirational teachers to apply for this role.
This position will run full-time from Monday 5th January, until July 2026. Successful applicants who get on well in their school placements would be offered permanent contracts from their schools starting in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
Support students with their learning and provide one-on-one assistance when needed
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Contribute to the overall pastoral care of students
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills
Requirements:
A genuine passion for education and working with young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well within a team
Willingness to learn and develop professionally
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
