Fixed term/secondment opportunity based in Scunthorpe. Closing date: 29 June 2026.
You will provide a high standard of Occupational service working as an autonomous practitioner delivering specialist assessment and therapeutic management of children across Northern Lincolnshire. You will take responsibility for a caseload of children 0–19 years, including those with equipment needs, within a variety of settings.
Supervise, educate and support non‑registered staff and provide specialised advice to other health, education and social care professionals in the specific clinical area.
Undertake evidence‑based audit and research projects and service developments to further own and the team’s clinical practice. Make recommendations to the clinical lead/manager of service for changes to practice by the team. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to the development of service protocols.
To develop skills and knowledge through participation in any development programmes and competency framework.
Independent management of a caseload of CYP aged 0–19 years providing assessment, intervention and support as an autonomous practitioner, completing assessment and provision of equipment and undertaking assessments as part of DFG process in accordance with guidance and best practice.
Work with the team and Lead for Children’s Occupational Therapy to support elements of service development and improvement.
Contribute to statutory assessments (EHCP).
Support education and training of others in delivery of OT recommendations (Parents/carer's, setting staff and other professionals).

Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 a year pro rata per annum.
