Job Description
Finance Manager duties include;
3. Oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
4. Manage and develop a small Finance Team (5 reports), setting their objectives, and overseeing all day-to-day activities.
5. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
6. Responsible for preparing the month-end processes ensuring costs and income suitably accrued, prepaid, or deferred as appropriate.
7. Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
8. Standard costs and sales margin analysis.
9. Managing and continually improving departmental reporting and analysis, working with managers to understand the results and drive improvement.
10. Partner with the key stakeholders of the businesses, playing a key role in improving financial performance.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
11. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
12. Previous people management experience.
13. Experience of working in an industrial/ Manufacturing/ FMCG environment is ideal.
14. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
15. Strong systems knowledge, SAGE Preferably
16. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
17. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
18. Practice trained, 2nd step within industry - well sought after
