St James is looking for an experienced School Business Manager to join our friendly and supportive team. This role is for 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year and is a fixed term appointment until 31 March 2027. Workings day and pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.
The School Business Manager provides strategic and operational support, leading in all aspects of finance and HR. Excellent communication and sound IT skills, alongside being professional, adaptable and well organised, are essential for this position.
The successful candidate will have:
1. experience of working in a business/finance environment at a strategic level
2. a strong attention to detail
3. excellent IT skills include Microsoft applications and MIS systems
4. excellent oral and written communication skills
5. the ability to interact positively with stakeholders at all levels
6. prior experience in a school setting and/or an accounting or SBM qualification are desirable but not essential
