My client located in Wolverhampton is looking to recruit a Head of Operations to join their Team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Warehouse, Manufacturing, and SIOP teams whilst ensuring best practice and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing
* Provide strategic leadership to the operations teams.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance overall operational performance.
* Oversee the manufacturing processes for Hardware, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
* Collaborate with production managers to optimise workflow, minimise downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency.
* Implement best practices for inventory management and material procurement.
* Manage the distribution operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
* Optimise logistics and supply chain processes to minimise lead times and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with the logistics team to enhance transportation and warehousing efficiency.
* Work closely with other department heads, including finance, human resources, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
* Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations and regularly report on performance against these metrics.
* Analyse data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Inclusive approach a must
* Ensure direct reports have SMART objectives which are regularly reviewed.
* Coach direct reports on best practices and how to efficiently execute operational plans.
* Creation of development and succession plans within the team
You will need to be:
* Educated to degree level.
* Proven experience in a Senior operations role within the manufacturing and distribution industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
* Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in operations management.
* Demonstrable CI knowledge
