Purposes:
* Provide an efficient and responsive reception service which clearly supports the professional, high quality image of Eastleigh College and contribute to providing a realistic working environment
* Provide an effective client booking system for the Hair & Beauty salon facilities
* Operate an efficient retail system to enhance the experience of customers and provide opportunities for learners to develop retail skills
* Operate effective marketing & promotional activities to support and enhance the revenue and customer service
* Mentor Hair & Beauty learners undertaking reception duties as part of their learning programmes and contribute to the evidence required to complete
* Provide support for curriculum delivery ensuring resources for dedicated sessions
* To manage stock, resources and budgets in line with curriculum delivery and in line with college controls
* Booking of enrichment and Industry activities, supporting events and activities in and outside college as required
* Responsible for health, safety of the area, including undertaking and updating risk assessments
Skills/Experience:
* Experience of Managing of resources; stock taking & purchasing
* Experience of adhering to H&S regulations/records and providing a safe, clean environment to customers
* Experience of handling money and adhering to procedure
* Knowledge of the Hair & Beauty sector and current industry trends
Qualifications:
* Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
* Qualification in Hairdressing and/or Beauty or equivalent field is desirable
Ideal Attributes:
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues, students and customers
* Movement of equipment/resources & manual handling
* Innovative and creative approach to work
