A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE officer to join a leading manufacturing company who specialise in providing electrical solutions to various industries\n\nJob Description:\n\nTo help drive a positive culture of Health, Safety and Environment across the site\nProactively identify, assess and evaluate current and future regulations and health, safety and environment\nWorking towards daily management and compliance for ISO45001 and ISO14001\nFacilitate assessments from the certification body, customers, and other interested parties\nWork towards continued development of the HSE Committee\nMaintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of compliance programs and evaluate trends\nMonitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, adhering to ISO14001\nProduce monthly reports, newsletters and bulletins where required\nChallenge any unsafe practices and behaviour across all departments\nWorking to evaluate environmental risks that may affect the Company's operations and assist with the preparation of robust improvement plans to ensure compliance\nEnsure the business operates in compliance with legislation, specifications, ACOP's, guidance and standards for Health and Safety, keeping up to date with relevant legislative requirements\nAssist with the maintenance of its accreditations by ensuring all departments are adhering to and are familiar with relevant policies, procedures and documentation\nEnsure all HSE Policies and procedures are in place and introduced to new starters\nPromote a culture of safety first on-site; provide guidance; advice and understanding for compliance and regulatory requirements\nCarry out regular risk assessments; identify workplace hazards; work cross-functionally\nPlan and ensure audits are carried out following legislation and corporate procedures\nAssist with the investigation and report all accidents, incidents and near misses through the relevant channels and maintain a record of corrective actions\nCarry out induction training for new staff and contractors\nPlan and ensure audits are carried out following legislation and corporate procedures\nAssist with the investigation and report all accidents, incidents and near misses through the relevant channels and maintain a record of corrective actions\nCarry out induction training for new staff and contractors\nDevelop and deliver internal training to employees for toolbox talks and relevant topicsBeneficial Skills / Qualifications:\n\nDemonstrable work experience at a similar level in HSE is essential\nExperience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment is essential\nNEBOSH qualification is essential\nExperience of auditing\nExperience of ISO 45001, 14001, would be highly advantageous\nIndustry knowledge in the Electrical Power Sector/manufacturing environment is preferable\nExperience in dealing with RAMS is essential\nExperience conducting inspections and audits\nStrong prioritisation skills\nProficient in MS Office particularly Excel\nContinuous improvement capabilities\nGood interpersonal skills with a 'can-do' attitude\nStrong communicator (all levels / internal and external customers/suppliers)\nAttention to detail and due diligenceAdditional Details:\n\nNegotiable Salary\n25 + Bank\nPension\nBonus\n2 x Death in service\nHealthcare Cash plan\nSick pay scheme\nMembership discounts\nParking / EV Parking
