Europa Worldwide Group is a logistics operator with three divisions: Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse, employing over 1,100 people with 16 sales offices in the UK and Ireland, plus international teams.
What you will be doing
* Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring financial and administrative tasks are efficiently handled to maximise team performance and profitability.
* Analyse labour requirements, assess capacity issues, and escalate concerns in alignment with forecasts to ensure optimal employee levels.
* Regularly update SOP training modules to align with current procedures, manage the change control process, and develop training plans for the team, ensuring proper SOP sign-off.
* Monitor and enhance SLA and KPI performance within the team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
* Provide analytical and solutions-focused reporting to management by operating and interrogating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Maintain and improve inventory accuracy within the department, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
* Conduct regular communication briefings with direct reports to keep them informed of company updates and encourage input for continuous improvement.
* Lead health and safety initiatives, performing regular checks and audits, and managing accident/incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
* Develop and maintain a professional understanding of HMRC regulations relevant to stock held by the contract, ensuring compliance.
* Proactively manage absence, performance, and disciplinary matters, including conducting one-to-one’s, probation reviews, and appraisals.
* Foster relationships with internal and external customers to understand their needs and improve service delivery, responding promptly and professionally to queries.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and leading initiatives and projects to enhance warehouse operations.

* Extensive 3PL Warehouse Expertise: Proven success in managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including financials and administration.
* WMS & SOP Proficiency: Skilled in using Warehouse Management Systems and continuously updating Standard Operating Procedures.
* Analytical & Strategic: Strong at assessing labour needs, optimising capacity, and driving performance metrics.
* Leadership & Communication: Excellent at leading teams, conducting briefings, and building strong customer relationships.
* Health & Safety Advocate: Experienced in leading safety initiatives and thorough incident investigations.
* Compliance & Improvement Focused: Knowledgeable in HMRC regulations with a detail-oriented, proactive approach to continuous improvement.
