Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
* General ledger and balance sheet management including reconciliations
* Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
* Ownership of journal process
* Support the Accounting & Finance department in financial analysis and tax preparation
* Engage in regulatory compliance duties
* Participate in comprehensive training and mentorship programmes
* Liaise with central finance to resolve any queries
* Preparation of supporting information for tax compliance activities (VAT, CT etc)
* Undertake regular analysis of key cost lines (e.g. agency spend, overtime, professional fees, etc)
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Accountant will have:
* Strong academic background
* AAT level 4
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* The ability to work well within a team
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive approach to learning and professional development
