Wirral Child & Young Person Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) is a therapy‑based service offering support to children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties and their families and carers. The service works in close alignment with the local authority, education and voluntary sector to ensure that children receive the right support at the right time.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and core CYPMHS members.
* Help develop and drive the CYPMHS Wirral 0‑18 forward.
Qualifications
* Core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional).
* Professional registration with a recognised national body.
* Nationally recognised post‑qualification CPD related to the core profession.
Experience and Knowledge
* Demonstrable working knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches such as CBT and Family Therapy.
* Knowledge of child protection workings and practice; experience of inter‑agency working.
* Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating care/treatment plans.
* Undertaking formal and informal clinical risk assessments and risk‑management planning.
* Undertaking mental health assessments.
* IT skills: databases, Microsoft Office and clinical systems.
Person Specification
* Significant post‑qualification experience working within CYPMHS or a child mental health related field.
* Recognised experience of working within an environment where evidence‑based interventions are delivered.
Contract & Salary
Fixed term – 12 months, Part‑time, Flexible working. Salary £38,682 – £46,580 pro rata.
