As a Freight Analyst you will report to the Traffic & Customs Supervisor providing administrative support to all areas of the Shipping department with a primary focus on the facilitation of freight invoices related to production material.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy and safe working practices.
* Support core functions of the Shipping team.
* Ensuring freight invoices are only processed when the actual service is provided.
* Processing of freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material which fluctuates in line with production volumes.
* Collate Metrics, analysis and general administration related to freight invoices and shipping performance.
* Focus on Continuous improvement and completing 1PD's to support process improvements.
* Undertake training/further learning as required.
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
* Internal candidates must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of one years’ service in their current position to apply for another role, or have obtained, in writing, authorisation from their manager to waive this requirement. Candidates should always inform their manager prior to applying for any new role.
* Internal candidates must not have any live disciplinaries or be on a performance action plan
* The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures.
* The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives.
* You will possess effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organisation.
* Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Powerpoint & Word.
* Good administrative skills, has attention to detail and works very accurately.
* Knowledge of BCP operations and an understanding of transport network.
* Have a fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities.
* Willing to undertake training/required learning.
