About the role
UCL History of Art is seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Modern and Contemporary Art and its Critical Histories to cover the maternity leave of a member of academic staff. This full-time teaching position will begin on 1 September and is expected to end on 30 April .
The successful candidate will be expected to teach the package of modules outlined in the job description at the bottom of this page.
The postholder will be asked to assist with marking and assessment for these and other modules and may be asked to mark and/or supervise a small number of BA and MA dissertations. They may be asked to act as Personal Tutor for a cohort of undergraduate students. They may be asked to contribute one-off lectures to core teaching at BA and/or MA level.
About you
The successful candidate will have a background in Modern and Contemporary Art and Visual Cultures. An emphasis on questions of feminism, and/or aesthetics and the philosophy of art would be an advantage. Candidates should hold a PhD. Prior experience of teaching is essential
