Business Development Manager

Our client is expanding - and they're looking for two driven Business Development Managers, one covering the South and one covering the Midlands, to fuel growth across key Medical and Defence/Security markets. If you're motivated, proactive, and thrive on the excitement of field-based sales, this could be the perfect next step for you!
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be at the heart of driving long-term strategic relationships with both new and existing customers. You'll manage your own schedule, working from home, while spending much of your time out in the field meeting clients and uncovering new opportunities.
This is a role for someone who loves autonomy, enjoys travel, and is excited by the challenge of growing high-value accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities.
Build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Conduct around six customer visits per week, travelling across your region.
Attend quarterly team meetings at the HQ on the South Coast.
Use your technical design knowledge to create tailored, compelling solutions for OEM customers.What You Need to Succeed
Proven sales experience within the electrical sector.
Strong background in selling to OEMs.
A solid track record in customer-facing, relationship-led sales.
Ambition to grow-this role has clear progression routes for future leaders.
Full UK driving licence is essential due to high travel requirements (approx. (phone number removed) miles per year). Locations
We are recruiting for two regional positions:
South - ideal for candidates based in the South/South East.
Midlands - ideal for candidates based in the Midlands. What's on Offer
Competitive salary of circa £50k, plus 10% performance bonus.
Company car provided for extensive travel.
Monday-Friday working pattern, including a half-day on Fridays for a head start on the weekend!
