We are seeking a Building Estimator to join our team based out of Lympne, Kent.
The role:
* Analyze tender documentation and capture client’s requirements.
* Produce an accurate BOQ for pricing, reflecting client needs, based on knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
* Understand costing for traditional, design, and build contracts.
* Prepare material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
* Conduct site visits, gather information, and incorporate findings into tender pricing.
* Assess rates and prices, create new or insert from quotes.
* Prepare competitive, accurate commercial submissions for review and approval.
* Possess working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Conditions, HSQE legislation, and construction techniques.
* Attend pre- and post-tender meetings.
* Understand building materials and plant requirements.
You will have:
* Minimum 3 years of estimating experience.
* Experience with commercial/industrial projects.
* Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Numerical proficiency and accuracy.
* Confidence and resourcefulness.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
* Collaborative approach to ensure the best submission.
