Care Navigator/Receptionist/Administrator-28 Hours per Week (can be flexible)
We are currently seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team as a Care Navigator/Receptionist/Administrator.
About the Role
This position offers a varied working week, combining reception duties with administrative support. The role includes:
Reception Shifts: One or two shifts per week (these could be 8am2pm or 2pm8pm), plus cover for holidays and sickness where needed.
Administrative Tasks:
Providing admin support to the triage/duty doctor.
Booking appointments.
Making referrals.
* Scanning documents and opening post.
* Call/recall of chronic disease patients for review and blood tests.
* Docman - Action and distribute tasks within Docman systems in relation to hospital correspondence.

Parkside Group Practice is based inSouth Croydon, with a list size of 14,500 patients. The team consists of 4partners, 7 salaried GPs, 3 Pharmacists, 3 nurses and aadministration team of 18 including a Business Manager and 2 Operations managers.
Job responsibilities
Receive, assist anddirect patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professionalin a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the Practice teamand project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors,either in person or via the telephone.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience in dealing with the public
* Previous work experience at a GP Practice
Qualities / Attributes
* Ability to organise workload priorities.
* Ability to use own judgement and initiative when dealing with problems and enquiries.
* Good verbal and oral communication skills.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Ability to communicate positively with patients and all members of the practice team and outside organisations.
* Ability to recognise, accept and adhere to the need for strict confidentiality.
* Good knowledge of English language and grammar.
* Ability to work independently, but also as a team member .
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Full driving licence.
Qualifications
* O level /GSCE Level qualifications in English & Maths or equivalent
* A demonstrable commitment to professional development
* A recognised IT qualification
Knowledge and Skills
* Good computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience of the EMIS Web System.
* Knowledge of DOCMAN.
