Role Description Our Analytics & Insight team are responsible for delivering actionable data insight on performance for several animal health brands including the market leader Petplan. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a data engineer to join our highly successful Analytics & Insight Team. This position is available on a hybrid basis working both from home and our new offices in Botanica Ditton Park. As a Data Engineer, you will lead and carry out our initiatives in data management, delivering highest standards of data quality, security, and governance. You will be involved in developing and maintaining our data ecosystems. You will also use your expertise in database management, data processing, and data governance to ensure data quality and security while promoting a data-driven culture in our organisation. As a valued member of the team you will: Create intuitive dashboards to monitor key data metrics proactively and maintain transparency in our data landscape, addressing issues in collaboration with relevant partners and IT Take ownership for the automation of regular reporting Actively promote the sharing of knowledge, skills, and best practices within the team Facilitate collaboration across different functions to integrate diverse perspectives in our data management strategies, ensuring the data is high-quality, secure, and easily accessible for dashboard development Oversee the development of detailed documentation of all data processes, sources, and integrations. Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary Create a solid peer-review process to support team members in adhering to high standards to deliver our commitment to data accuracy Establish and maintain a framework to oversee the accuracy, validity, and lifecycle of our data assets Maintain data security through the implementation of strict measures, including controlling access and encrypting sensitive data, in compliance with privacy regulations Implement policies and rules for data quality, implement systems and processes to maintain this quality, all while integrating and consolidating data from multiple sources Review and optimise existing ETL processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity Be fully supported in your development and wider career ambitions Be part of a motivated and exciting team About You To be successful in this role you will have the following; Enthusiastic to embrace innovation and like challenges Eager to take responsibility and ownership of your projects Strong stakeholder management experience and proven experience of building strong relationships across varied teams.
