If so, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Revenues and Benefits to lead and manage our Revenues and Benefits services. This encompasses Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefits and Council Tax support. You will ensure the efficient collection of local taxation, the accurate assessment of benefit claims and the timely recovery of arrears and overpayments. You will also oversee government returns, performance reporting and service improvement initiatives, working closely with the Director of Corporate Services (S151 Officer) to deliver high quality strategic and operational outcomes. We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader with a strong background in Revenues and Benefits. You will have extensive technical knowledge of revenues and benefits and ideally have a relevant professional qualification or bring extensive equivalent management experience. You will bring proven experience of managing teams, setting performance targets and delivering excellent results in a complex and busy environment. Effective communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to lead, manage and influence people is also highly advantageous.
