Applications are invited for the post of Principal Assessor for Higher French.
The Principal Assessor is responsible for ensuring all duties and tasks associated with the development and marking of the question papers are undertaken within the conditions, time frames and arrangements set by SQA. They lead, support and work with SQA appointees to ensure consistent application of national standards.
Applicants must currently be involved in the delivery and assessment of Higher French. Previous leadership experience will be beneficial to the successful applicant.
Should an applicant require release from their employer, they should discuss this before making an application as the successful applicant may require up to 10 days of release. This could be negotiable/variable based on procedural programme. Applicants will also be required to undertake work in their own time (evenings/weekends) to fulfil the duties of this post.
This role attracts a responsibility fee paid quarterly as well as release fees and a daily rate for duties undertaken in own time.
Interviews for successful applicants will be held via MS Teams on either Monday 10 or Tuesday 11 November.
