Job Purpose If ABCA sounds like the right place for you, we would love you to join our Finance team. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our Group Finance function. You will complete finance admin and accounting tasks, with a focus on month end close, reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and adhering to timescales. What You'll Be Doing: Month end tasks and preparation of monthly management accounts Balance sheet reconciliations and proactive investigation into any differences / aged items Create and process journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc) Detailed accrued income and WIP analysis Revenue recognition analysis and reconciliations with CRM Bank postings and reconciliations Ensuring finance team schedules and trackers are up to date Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Supporting with year-end audits Ad-hoc financial and headcount reporting Business partnering the operational teams VAT data cleansing, reconciliations and returns Office for National Statistics returns plus others where applicable Variance analysis and commentary Project related work Support with implementation of new systems Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls Any other finance tasks as and when required What You'll Bring: Essential: Part qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) Excellent Excel skills The ability to manage and prioritise a large workload to ensure all deadlines are met Excellent communication skills High attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented and process-driven Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Self-motivated Desirable: Experience of Sage financial systems
